Advocacy

Relay is the GPCC's ongoing advocacy campaign to develop a broader network surrounding four key issue-areas: Business Climate, Infrastructure, Workforce and Quality of Life.
This initiative is a sustained, multi-year effort to advance our region's ability to attract, retain and grow jobs. The primary mission of the Chamber's Advocacy team is to:
- Bolster economic growth through initiatives that support a competitive business climate

- Help reduce the cost of doing business through major tax reform

- Attract and retain employers and jobs

- Encourage investment in infrastructure

- Stimulate entrepreneurial and venture capital investment

This week, Philadelphia City Council is expected to vote on and pass two separate pieces of legislation that will allow businesses to better compete and create jobs under the burden of Philadelphia’s Business Privilege Tax (BPT).
