Nearly 1,400 regional business leaders gathered yesterday at the Chamber’s annual Mayoral Luncheon to hear Philadelphia Mayor Michael A. Nutter address the leading issues facing our region’s businesses and outline his strategic initiatives for the upcoming year.

The Mayor discussed various plans to help businesses and the economy grow, including a $6 million seed fund to help Philadelphia start-ups, and continued decreases to the city wage tax beginning in July. He also stressed the importance of improving the city’s school district and lowering its crime rate, among other important issues.
